FREEDOM'S ROAD

(Alan Brown)
There’s a road we have to travel from the cradle to the grave, a valley everybody must come through
It starts off straight and narrow and then it fades away and how you get along is up to you
If you’re with me on this journey, I know you will help me if I fall
And we can walk together through the struggles and the storms ‘cause freedom’s road’s the hardest road of all

There’s a road we have to travel from the cradle to the grave, a mountain everybody has to climb
And though the way is broken we can overcome it all and lead the others following behind
If you’re with me on this journey, I know you will help me if I fall
And we can walk together through the struggles and the storms ‘cause freedom’s road’s the hardest road of all

Nothing comes as easy as doing nothing, the hardest thing’s what you don’t want to do
You can close your eyes, pretend you’re sleeping, ‘cause who needs faith, not a man like you?
